Economic Diplomacy Dashboard Project with Ministry of Foreign Affairs

A Collaborative Effort to Enhance Decision-Making Through Strategic Data Analysis and Technology Integration

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The project involves the development of a study on the utilization of information technology for economic diplomacy and the creation of an Economic Diplomacy System Dashboard. This initiative seeks to enhance data analysis and decision-making processes within Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, particularly through the Foreign Policy Strategy Agency. By integrating technology and strategic data analysis, the project establishes a robust framework and toolset to support more informed and efficient economic diplomacy practices, ensuring Indonesia remains competitive and adaptable in global economic engagements.

The project highlights the critical role of technology in fostering collaboration among various stakeholders, including government agencies, private sectors, and international partners. By centralizing and standardizing data through the Economic Diplomacy System Dashboard, the initiative streamlines decision-making processes and strengthens Indonesia’s capacity to respond swiftly to global economic trends and challenges. The system is designed to empower policymakers with real-time insights, enabling decisions that are both proactive and evidence-based. Furthermore, the dashboard facilitates the identification of emerging opportunities, the mitigation of risks, and the promotion of sustainable economic growth through enhanced diplomacy strategies. The project was lead by Prof. Tirta N Mursitama, Deputy for Investment Cooperation at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM.

On the 19th of December 2024, the project with both of its output (Dashboard and Analysis Document) was successfully delivered on time from BINUS University research team to Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Our team is commited to support the project implementation even after the project handover.

Further information regarding the project are available upon request. However, as it is conducted for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, some information is classified and cannot be disclosed
